AG Bell 2012 Convention Presenter Information
Convention Registration: Please remember that all presenters must register for the convention. AG Bell will not pay any fees, registration or expenses for the convention, so don’t forget to register!
Short Course presenter information and deadlines
- Please check in at the convention registration desk to receive your badge and convention materials. Registration will open Thursday, June 28th at 7:00 a.m.
- To locate the room assignment for your presentation, check the program book you will receive at registration.
- A Speaker Ready room (Merriam A) will be available for your use.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session is scheduled to start.
- To accommodate CEU agency requirements, please include a slide with your learning objectives.
Audio Visual
Presenter must provide own laptop.
AG Bell will provide the following audio visual for each short course:
- One LCD and screen for presentations
- One lavaliere microphone
- Table microphones will be provided for panel sessions
- Audio output for media used during presentation
- AG Bell will provide CART only when requested by attendees for short courses.
- There will be A/V technicians available to assist you on site.
Remember to bring your own laptop if you intend to show a PowerPoint presentation.
NOTE: If you plan to show a video, please make sure it is captioned.
Handouts: AG Bell will make handouts available to attendees on the website if you provide your PowerPoint presentations and any handout materials by June 7, 2012. It is best to send your PowerPoint slides in handout format as a PDF. Please send them to 2012Convention@agbell.org. If your files are large, or contain a lot of graphics, it is best to use a large document sharing service. One service that allows complimentary trials is You Send It at www.yousendit.com. AG Bell will not provide paper handouts for attendees onsite.
Additional Presenters: As the Lead Presenter, you are responsible for all communication and arrangements with any additional presenters. Please make sure you forward all AG Bell communications about your short course to the additional presenters.
Concurrent Session presenter information and deadlines

Poster Session presenter information
Set-up: Please arrive between 8:30 - 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning, June 30, to set up your poster.
Location: Kierland Grand Ballroom (in the exhibit hall) Saturday, June 30, 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Presenters are required to be present during this time frame. It is during lunch and does not conflict with any of the convention’s education program.
Tear down: All posters must be down by 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1st.
Poster specs and provisions:
- AG Bell recommends limiting your poster size to 4ft x 4ft. Posters may not exceed 4ft x 6ft.
- Bulletin boards will be marked with your poster title and push pins will be available to hold your poster.
- Presenters are responsible for the creation, reproduction and transport of all handouts related to your poster.
