AG Bell Academy Announces the Appointment of Teri Ouellette as President
The AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language is delighted to announce the appointment of Teri Ouellette as president for 2014-2016.
Teri Ouellette, M.S.Ed., LSLS Cert. AVEd has been serving as the director of the St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf – Indianapolis since the school was founded in the summer of 2001. She has degrees in Deaf Education from Eastern Michigan University and in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Kentucky.
“Teri Ouellette brings tremendous talents and expertise to the AG Bell Academy Board at a critical juncture in the organization’s history,” said Lyn Robertson, president of the AG Bell Academy. “We look forward to her contributions as the Academy works to advance the Listening and Spoken Language Specialist credential to meet the critical needs of families and children who are deaf and hard of hearing who are pursuing a listening and spoken language outcome.”
Ouellette has taught auditory-based programming for infants through middle school students in home-based early intervention as well as private and public school settings. She serves on the Advisory Committee for the Indiana State EHDI Program. She recently served as adjunct faculty through Ball State University and Smith College/Professional Preparation for Cochlear Implants (PPCI).
