Arts and Sciences Award Recipients Sing in Carnegie Hall
Rebecca, 14, and Sarah, 12, Gunn, two sisters with hearing loss and recipients of numerous Arts and Science Awards over the last few years, performed last weekend in Carnegie Hall in New York City. They were part of a 270-member choir that was backing up the Christian singing group Casting Crowns who did the theme song for the movie Courageous. The Gunn family and 10 other family members traveled to New York City for the event. Lara Gunn, mother of Rebecca and Sarah, said before the event: "It is amazing to think that two young ladies who are deaf will be singing in Carnegie Hall at such an event. Thank you to AG Bell for the scholarships that have enabled them to do such an amazing thing!"
